Dead Battery, No Matter

Chris’s ability to maintain focus on the goal is the reason for much of the success we have had as a team. He spends the little free time he has between his two jobs patching and plugging Sylvia to keep us on the water the 1-2 days a week our schedules allow.

On Tuesday, we drained the battery inflating Sylvia and we unable to get our trusty Johnson 40 started. Without skipping a beat, Chris grabbed his truck’s battery and we were off. From there we proceeded to have one of the best days we have had on the water yet. This calf was very young, with fetal folds that made it look like a prune. We could not believe how close this mom let us get. Hopefully we get another shot at this some day soon!
